Dean and Lynn Wickert live on a ridge between two valleys formed by Noah’s flood, not too far from the Ohio River. God has blessed them with five children and ten grandchildren.
Their passion for families began before they were married, and their zeal for creation ministry grew quickly after their wedding.
Dean and Lynn were both raised by parents who celebrated over fifty years of marriage together and with the benefits of stay-at-home mothers. Dean’s father often stated that strong families made strong churches, which made strong communities, which would contribute to a strong nation.
Dean developed an interest for science while growing up on a farm in northwestern Indiana. But because of the educational indoctrination of scientific humanism, he hoped that science would somehow prove the Bible, instead of trusting the Bible first and expecting scientific theory to confirm the Bible’s precepts.
Over time, these two passions, Biblical family life and creation ministry, began to germinate the seed of an idea for a teaching that would base practical family life skills on the beginning of the Bible, where families were created and where so many principles were established.
So this became the question that directs our focus: If God made us in His image and after His likeness, and we are to be conformed to the image of His Son, who is the express image of His person, shouldn’t our relationships be in the image of God’s relationships, and our families be after the likeness of His family?
